Dear Friend:

As you may know, Magic Moments is an Alabama-based non-profit organization that grants non-medical wishes to children ages 4-18 diagnosed with life-threatening or life-altering medical conditions.  Founded in 1984, Magic Moments is the only wish-granting organization dedicated exclusively to Alabama children, and it has granted over 3,900 wishes to children in all 67 counties of Alabama during the past 25 years.

Magic Moments is not a part of any other wish-granting organization such as Make-A-Wish, Starlight Foundation or Dream Factory, to name a few.  We are Alabama-based, and money raised in Alabama stays in Alabama to serve Alabama children.   

This year, we are fortunate to have been named as a designated charity of the Captain Hook Invitational.  Entering its 15^th year, this fishing tournament brings the Gulf Coast’s top anglers to Dauphin Island Marina on May 22.  Featuring an open invitation philosophy, the tournament also invites new anglers to be a part of the competition which includes awards for a five fish aggregate in speckled trout, as well as a mystery fish category.  The one day event begins at first light and ends with the weigh in from 1-4 p.m. on the docks of the Marina with food, drinks, and live entertainment during the awards presentation.

Magic Moments is very proud to be associated with the Captain Hook Invitational, and we hope you will consider supporting this unique event.  Your support will not only help create a strong 2010 Invitational for the City of Mobile, but it will also help make the wishes and dreams come true for Alabama’s critically-ill children.  The Tournament Committee members have dedicated their time and energy to support Alabama’s children, and your generous contribution will be greatly appreciated.
